President: Dr. Linda Tym

Dr. Linda Tym is the current President of the AEA.  As President she is in charge of coordinating AEA activities and acting as the official liaison between the AEA and other organizations.  Dr. Tym is also an associate professor of English at Southern Adventist University.

Vice President: Dr. Kem Roper

Dr. Kem Roper is the Writing Center Director at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Huntsville, Alabama. She previously served as an assistant professor of English at Oakwood University.  As Vice President of the AEA, Dr. Roper is tasked with coordinating all promotional activities and handling the finances of the organization

Communications Representative: Clarise Nixon

Clarise Nixon is an Assistant Professor of English at Southern Adventist University.  She has a MA in English from Belmont University and has worked in multiple fields that involve writing or education, including editing, ghost writing, and tutoring.

Dr. Eun-Young Julia Kim

Dr. Kim is a professor of English at Andrews University, where she is the director of the graduate TESOL program.  She received her PhD from Northern Illinois University.

Literature on Location Coordinator:
Dr. Judy Myers Laue

Dr. Laue is the Chair of the English Department at Southwestern Adventist University.  She is in charge of coordinating the AEA's Literature on Location program, which organizes outings to important literary landmarks.

Secondary School Representative: 
Sarah Henderson

Sarah Henderson is the secondary school representative for the Adventist English Association.  She recently completed a graduate certificate in Mind, Brain and Teaching at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education.  After teaching at Loma Linda Academy, Sarah now teaches at Citrus Hill High School.
