Dr. Chandra Mountain is a Professor of English at Oakwood University and the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. She is currently serving as the President of the Adventist English Association.

Communications Representative: Paul D. Nixon

Paul D. Nixon serves as the coordinator of the Performance Concentration in the Department of English and Foreign Languages at Oakwood University. Paul is the Founder and CEO of Virtual VP, an education consulting company that provides creative, customized support services for academic institutions. Paul is also the co-author of the God is a Person book series with his sister Clarise, who is also an English professional.

Treasurer: Dr. Keely Tary

Dr. Keely Tary is an Associate Professor of English at Southern Adventist University. Additionally, Dr. Tary has served as the Chair of the English department at Southern since 2014. She received her Ph.D. in English from Washington State University and is experienced in many aspects of writing programs and processes, including instructing, tutoring, editing, and teaching composition in online environments.

International Representative: Laurie Stankavich

Laurie Stankavich has a Master's degree in linguistics from the University of Texas at Arlington. After receiving her Master’s degree, Stankavich spent multiple years working abroad as an educator in China before taking her current position as an Associate Professor of English at Southern Adventist University.
